Phanteks NV7 Design Explained

Phanteks NV7 has a sleek design with 532 x 253 x 586 mm measurement. You can place it on the floor rather than the desk. In the back cable section or the I/O section, you will find the design to be quite appealing with a removable swing outer door. Along with that, you will also find that the front section is also beautiful.

Cable management

Owing to the cable routing, the cables are well managed at the bottom. When the rear or back door opens, you will find more cable routing, and as you close the rear door, the cables appear to be neatly tucked away.

Front section

At the front section, you will find 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. You will also get a combination of headphones and a microphone 3.5 mm jack. If required, you can remove the front panel as well, just like the rear panel, which is held with 2 thumb screws. On the top, you will find rectangular power buttons, which are meant for controlling the features of Phanteks NV7.

Control facilities

There is also a facility to control the 2-channel D-aRGB controller. The rear side has a perfect space for two 120mm fans or 240 mm radiators. You can also mount this fan or radiator outside to impart a cleaner look by removing the fan grille. You can move the right side of the aRGB strip by removing and rotating it 180 degrees, and also, the motherboard support is up to eATX.

The side fans are 120 mm, and four are supported to have a 360mm radiator. It also has an additional D30 fan. The bottom mount is supported by three 120mm fans and three 140mm fans, along with a single 280mm or 360 radiator.

Bracket orientation

You can orient the brackets in two ways: angled or turn them at 90 degrees. It also has a drain port which is meant for maintaining the system and is quite essential for the water cooler. To create a different mix of effects, the D-aRGB controller can manage two different color zones. Here, you also get the optional control for RGB-supported motherboards.

Other panels

The back panel also shows enough space to hold HDD or SSD support. Along with that, it also comes with cable management. The panel at the back can be removed to support two 2.5″ HDDs or SSDs, and the bottom panel supports two 3.5″ HDDs. The left panel cannot be removed, but it has a mesh design to maintain the airflow. This section can be set up as an intake or exhaust panel.
